You can do that with most aircraft if you shove it through a narrow gap at the correct speed... Of course, folding them back out to the correct flying position is not always trivial.CharlieOneSix wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 1:18 pmNo, not a Tiger Moth. This one has side by side seating and you can fold the wings back against the fuselage.

Where does this ship hail from? An accurate statement of planet and galactic quadrant will suffice.

It's a Klingon Bird of Prey, from the planet Qo'nos in the Beta Quadrant.

Only matched by Ace Rimmer whose original posts here on ops-normal.org too...(if he breaks his silence you will see that I know).

Benefits of being an Air Defender, a quick glance of a small bit is enough.
I had to look up the location, as I am not a Trekkie. But I recognised the craft immediately, as my sister IS a closet Trekkie, and obliged me to watch Star Trek IV with her last summer.
OH please
p.s. I once met Craig Charles (Lister) in the Blockbuster Video store on the Walworth Road, at about 8 o'clock one evening. He asked me where the Horror movies were. I didn't know. I asked him where the Red Dwarf videos were (I had genuinely gone out looking for one). He didn't know.

Yep my school mates, the authors, never apologised just a free book and a well worded letter from their lawyer. Nice guys though, They fell out and I sent an e-mail to Doug Naylor saying that I was sorry the way he was treated by Rob Grant which he appreciated, Doug was run over by a bus outside the school and lost a leg. He could still swim faster than me.TheGreenAnger wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:59 pmYou, with respect Sir, are an esteemed pilot!Fox3WheresMyBanana wrote: ↑Tue Jan 24, 2023 10:48 pmIt's a Klingon Bird of Prey, from the planet Qo'nos in the Beta Quadrant.

As I knew that that was impossible, I entered 'historic' spotter type mode and reasoned that it had to be 'Russian'.
I had never seen any real Russian aircraft, just relied on my Air Training Corps recognition exercises, but I was convinced that what I had seen was a Fitter.
It transpired that it was a Sukhoi 22 from Poland on an exchange training exercise.

Yes, not dissimilar from the front or planform.
The difference from the rear is obvious (which is the main view I've had due to the number of engine exhausts)

Re: Guess the Aircraft Type...
We had to do ship and tank recognition on 10 Sqn. I refused to take part. I said that if I got that close to a ship or tank in a VC10 I would have better things to worry about.
Had to go into a Russki airfield once on a VIP trip. It was also a military base. Had a guy from intelligence come to visit me after getting back. He asked me what I had observed. I said tanks and aircraft. Then the questions startled to get difficult. I stuck to name rank and number. Fortunately my nav used to mess about in East Berlin and was more helpful.
