Massive breakout! Searchlights, whistles and running feet!
It was a seemingly well coordinated break-out by male and female detainees and took hours to contain.
Witnesses report that it was juveniles who started the breakout who by clever penetration and sustained force opened a way through the wire. Once free they broke away in different directions, some running pell mell while others paused to pillage food and flowers etc along their path.
The heavyweight inmates followed and may actually have been assisted by a warden who had failed in their lock up duties.
The majority of the escapees stayed in the immediate area looting what was available to them and generally socialising with others of their ilk who were also detained in the locality.
Order was finally restored by the efforts of a senior citizen and his semi-retired border collies and ably assisted by a comely lass wearing green-top gumboots and driving a Series One Land Rover.
With the brouhaha finally extinguished it was time to review the style of fencing around the lamb paddock and to ensure the various ponies were safely confined in their alloted spaces.
