Proctor Adventure
Proctor Adventure
I was going to post an article about this aircraft(?) but have not found a way to do it, .ODT file of about seven pages. I guess I need to find somewhere online I can 'publish' it.
Been in data comm since we formed the bits individually with a Morse key.
Re: Proctor Adventure
Is it on the internet anywhere? If so, put a link. If not, how were you planning on posting it?
Re: Proctor Adventure
A view only link to a file on One Drive.

Try this!

Comments on the literary merit are optional!
Microsoft Word can read it but will probably open it in an editor window.

Thanks PP, nice to know it found it way to PHX, pretty speedy too for a Gipsy Queen!

The Proctor?
Re: Proctor Adventure
Oh, I don't know, someone said something about
but it obviously was not important.I was going to post an article about this aircraft(?) but have not found a way to do it, .ODT file of about seven pages. I guess I need to find somewhere online I can 'publish' it.
Re: Proctor Adventure
Perhaps the link to the file did not work for you or maybe my writing was not enough for you the grasp the gist of this 'work'.

Re: Proctor Adventure
Works fine for me John, Interesting well written article...
... read the article in the link above folks to find out more....Evening adventure.
It has been a long day, the young Queen of England is touring NZ and tonight she will dine in Christchurch!
But there is a problem, the gold embossed menus have been printed but there are no fresh crayfish to be found in the city! The only available ‘fish are at the Chatham Islands and you are the only pilot there with a plane and you must rush the live crustaceans across the dark ocean to Christchurch!
The royal dinner depends on YOU!...

Re: Proctor Adventure
Ah! I see now. I thought the article would be about the Proctor, not Radio Range/Crayfish/Link. My error.
Re: Proctor Adventure
Thanks OneHungLow, imagination is not a gift given to us all.
This exercise will be the premium ride when my new/olde Link Trainer is operational. Right now I am about 15 hours into a download of MS Flight Simulator and I a hopeful that there will be some time for sleep before dawn.

Re: Proctor Adventure
I am sorry as I should have worded the first post better.

Re: Proctor Adventure
I have now added the Open/Libre Office odt file as an acceptable attachment format.
. Bear in mind the file has to be downloaded and there is still a 300Kb file size limit.-

Re: Proctor Adventure
I can confirm that the test.odt download works fine and this attachment facility will prove to be very useful in the future as well I am sure (the 300Kb file limit not withstanding, What do they say about brevity being the soul of wit and trying not to be a long winded tit).

Re: Proctor Adventure
What was it about Percival that they had a thing about University titles?
Proctors, Provosts, Prentices... Ok I guess they were all about training and thus the connection with honorific university titles.
The Mew Gull was my favourite Percival type having seen the Old Warden based example (part of the Shuttleworh collection) displayed there...
I am sure somewhere Alex Henshaw smiles when it takes off...
As for the rest "Eet Kreef" as they say back in SA!
