Minger: Is this the world's stinkiest cheese?

Somehow the name seems appropriate and very descriptive - a minging cheese! =))
The word 'ming' comes from the old Scottish English word for a bad smell, so if something is 'minging' it means it is 'smelly'.
"A pungent aroma of welly boot", according to Rory. The cheesemaker says if you smell farmer's wellies after they've spent a summer in them, it's a bit like that, because the bacteria used to make the cheese likes hot, dry places.

Is it more pungent than Reblochon after a flight in the overhead locker from Orly to Aberdeen in the summer time? I was not the FA's favourite pax.

I bought a revoltingly stinky French cheese in the hyper last week. The wife kept saying to me that the sewer u bend was blocked and needed rodding. I explained that the smell was the smell of the cheese and she agreed.
Oddly enough the sewer WAS blocked at the same time. While rodding it out I decided there wasn't an awful lot of difference as far as smells were concerned. Or consistency.
