It's unfair that those based in the Eastern Hemisphere get to experience events in advance of those in the developed World.
I mean who invented Time? Certainly not the Colonials . . .

(Just joking, but I really am envious that 'we' miss out on these celebrations.)

Nevertheless, Happy Christmas - enjoy 'our' celebrations - we will have to wait until tomorrow (as always!).

Me bitter? You bet I am!

Is that why it is called Greenwich MEAN Time?

Happy Xmas to all readers. Morning service in the kirk went well as did the rehearsal at 1:30pm for the 11:30pm Watchnight service. Tomorrow there's just an "informal" service at 10am before we (me, friend Barbara & 3 guests) sit down to Xmas Dinner at 2:30pm.
My sister in Perth WA is worried, she & hubby have gone the riverhouse in Yunderup where she is scheduled to cook & service half a salmon & dressings for umpteen folk.

Happy xmas et al.....shamelessly stolen from another thread:

Just to let everyone know. After much soul-searching I have decided not to send Christmas cards this year.

Including postage, I used to spend around $150 on cards each year and generally the cards just end up in the bin and subsequently in landfill. This is obviously a dreadful waste.

To counter this waste, I have decided to take the $150 to Safeway and swap it for Vodka and Diet Coke, and maybe some Screwball Eggnog, massively reducing my ability to give a ***** what anyone else thinks

I'm sure you'll support me in this utterly selfish act.🍾🥂🍻🥳🤪

Merry Christmas
🤣🤣🤣
B-) Life may not be the party you hoped for, but while you're here, you may as well dance. B-)

A box of CRW (cheap red wine) will suffice for me. :-bd
I shall raise a glass or several to wish all a Merry Christmas. ^:)^ :YMPARTY:

Happies to all from me at the, very windy, eastern edge of the known world.
Tomorrow will be busy for me as I cook for all my immediate family who will be with us for the day.

Today seems to be wind from the west - say goodbye to Carrot Cruncher who will no doubt end up beyond the Viking Gas Fields or maybe even Dogger Bank.
