Wet Microbursts

#1 Post by CharlieOneSix » Fri Nov 24, 2017 1:39 pm

No, not the kind that afflicts the elderly.

FD2 sent me this link by email but it's so impressive I thought it worth posting here. I wouldn't want to be low level when that hit......

Horrendous things. Used to practice dealing with microbursts on the approach in the sim. There is no time to mess about and sometimes there is no way out.

I've had 3 approach encounters with these microbursts - one on R20R SIN, R25R SGN, and R15R RUH. The last one being a dry shooter and above the 2300ft upper envelope for WS warning.

Cnuts of things.
