Horrendous things. Used to practice dealing with microbursts on the approach in the sim. There is no time to mess about and sometimes there is no way out.

I've had 3 approach encounters with these microbursts - one on R20R SIN, R25R SGN, and R15R RUH. The last one being a dry shooter and above the 2300ft upper envelope for WS warning.
