Surprisingly no one has posted about this, no I’ve not seen the METAR :-o

When all else fails, read the instructions.

One of my FJ Instructors did a Starfighter exchange in Italy. Stories you would not believe. This doesn't surprise me at all.

Hit and Run at JFK

#3 Post by fin » Sun Jun 26, 2022 11:41 pm

According to several sources, an Alitalia plane taxiing at JFK collided with a parked Air France plane, damaging both.

It then flew to Rome, where the wingtip was repaired.

The radio transcripts of the event are a king sized embarrassment to the FAA and ATC at JFK. Or they should be.

Incredible. Continuing without even an inspection it seems. The captain should be charged with endangering the lives of everyone on board.
