This was very close to being a serious accident.

Does the Airbus A320 not have a Radar Altimeter? Standard setup normally includes 2 such instruments I believe.

The very short summary begs so many questions!
eg: what QNH had they noted from the ATIS?
Did the EGPWS not sound a TOO LOW PULL UP warning before ATC told the crew of the MSAW warning?

Why did they not g/a at minima - over 18 seconds before action?
Had they got the curtains drawn?
Did they have a clue what they were doing?

Once again, the French (ATC this time) help to try to create an accident.
