Heat/Steam protection for kitchen cabinets

We have a problem with our built-in dishwasher door. The door is MDR with a plastic skin. The outer skin is wrapped over the edge and top. When our dishwasher ends a cycle the door pops open. This releases steam and heat that causes the outer skin to unstick and lift off.

Is there a commercial product, like a tape, that could be put over the edge of the door that would protect the skin seam? Or any ideas?

Gaffer tape solves most problems.

Not pretty, but effective.

Thought of that. Wondered if a foil tape might work if I could find some

So do I. I think I have found what will work, aluminium tape.

We got the door 2 years ago from a manufacturer in Huntingdon. We had trouble then getting a pattern match. I sent them an email and they had my order and said the panel was under guarantee. I had no idea it was guaranteed.

We had previously bought a lot of stuff to finish a cloakroom and they were brilliant in advising with the design. Then we bought more to fabricate sliding door cupboards. They were the only place where we could get an obsolete door handle.
