This news just in :-o
Australia batsman Steve Smith has been ruled out of the third Ashes Test after suffering a concussion.

Smith, 30, was hit in the neck by a 92mph bouncer from Jofra Archer on day four of the second Test, but passed an initial concussion test and returned to continue his innings.

Coach Justin Langer confirmed his absence after Smith sat out Australia's training session on Tuesday.

Smith has scored 142, 144 and 92 in his three innings so far in the series.

Not really a surprise. I was astonished that he was allowed back out to bat last time. Head injuries really do have to be taken seriously.

England 10-2

I'm feeling sorry for anyone with Day 5 tickets.

Root should resign.....another duck...awful captain.

The selectors need a shake up as well.

Watching England bat should be listed as a cruel and unusual punishment.

It is all part of a cunning plan.

Fearing having to face the Oz bowling attack in the 4th innings, on a worn pitch, England got out quick to save wearing out the pitch!

Just watched the ball from Leach that took the wicket of Harris.

It raises the question, who is going to play Lyon on this wicket?

Well this saviour won’t be coming back soon :-o
Haseeb Hameed will leave Lancashire at the end of the season after the club decided against offering the 22-year-old batsman a new contract.

The announcement marks a stunning downturn of fortunes for Hameed, who was once dubbed 'Baby Boycott' and exploded on to the international scene as a teenager with a couple of mature innings in testing Indian conditions in 2016.

Indeed, such was his standing after the tour - where he averaged 43.8 in three Tests - that many concluded England's torturous search for Alastair Cook's long-term opening partner was over.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Well the England bowlers have done their job.
They have taken all 20 Oz wickets.

A pity about the batsmen.

But I would love them to make me eat my words.

Apparently Shane Warne checked out of his Leeds hotel yesterday. Not expecting to need the room last night.

I wonder if he slept in his car? :ymdevil:
