Regrettably Brisbane won the right to host them in 2032 (?).....managed to fend off ....no other bidders actually......
Opening ceremony tonight, and despite being basically same time zone....do not think I'll even bother watching it...
Olympics
Re: Olympics
EA, I would venture to say that Madame Pullachook after being told she will be attending the opening ceremony will exhibit all the signs of being bored fartless having to sit and watch same.

Re: Olympics
EA, thank you for the reminder, I was aware of the games this summer but not that they were so soon. I shall devote as much time to the games this year as I did the tennis.
Re: Olympics
Pallachook insisted that she was not to attend the opening ceremony. Then, Australian chief Olympics @rse clown John Cates told her she did not understand how insulting it would be and that she MUST attend, FFS, a line no doubt fed to Coates from Pallachook. He advised that Opening ceremonies cost $75 to $100 million, FFS, what made her think QLD could afford any of this....?

Re: Olympics
The term 'bread and circuses' springs to mind.
So far, have managed to avoid watching any of the Olympics. Hope to continue with such luck.

You only live twice. Once when you're born. Once when you've looked death in the face.
Re: Olympics
Perhaps someone should tell Pallachook that the only reason why Bris scored the 2032 Summer Olympics was because no one else wanted it. People aren't that stupid these days.
