Remembrance Day and the Real Message

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers who have taken the Oath, worn the uniform & even loitered in harm's way occasionally.

Watch it Ian 16th or you won't make it to 17th. On occasions I have been one of those "old farts in a blazer".

Suspect that Ian was in one of those pics!

If he was then we probably marched together on ANZAC day 2015 when the WA mob turned up in Adelaide.

Sise, Ian is one of our ex-colonial refugees based in South Africa. Don't think he would have popped over for the day somehow.

I am an old fart, I do have a blazer but I have a Sqdn badge not the RAFBEA on it, but I sometimes do wear the same tie as them in Adelaide.

Funerals, Remembrance services and such are the only times I wear a tie nowadays. So the are restricted to the standard RAF one, RAFBEA and a 214 Sqdn tie. The last time I wore a 'civilian' tie, I think was my sons wedding in 2002!

South Australia, is the only place to have a 'branch' of the RAFBEA, and I know they fly a standard at ANZAC day.

Er.....Western Australia has a tidy group of a dozen or more "boys" who meet up regularly for lunch every two months!

The SA lot make more noise about what they do, and get their pictures in the newsletter more often, you should shout up more, that is assuming that you are one of them.

The 16th Entry 50th Anniversary of Southern African Boys was 2 of us! The other guy came from Botswana.
