Yes - last night Newshub had a straight 15 minutes of AB stuff at the start of the news. It will take a few days for the presenters to calm down and go back to the usual scanty coverage of world news again!

Nothing else happening really..
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Eddie Jones quits as Wallabies coach - reports

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/eddie- ... AFKEFCVYU/

Eddie Jones has reportedly quit as Wallabies coach.

Jones, who earlier this month denied he was on the move after Australia’s disastrous World Cup campaign, has resigned, the Sydney Morning Herald says.

gave it a run. Hopefully be the catalyst for change. Sometimes you have to eat s*** for others to eat caviar further down the track,” Jones told the Sydney Morning Herald’s Peter FitzSimons, saying that his overriding emotion was “disappointment”.

Some kind of Japanese thing called a dry beer.
Seems to be a bit of a half-way house.

I think it’s one of the tournaments sponsors plus he plays for a Japanese Club, so probably going to be paid for an advertising campaign there.
Meanwhile you’d think that there is an election in ZA soon :-o

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared a public holiday after the country won the 2023 Rugby World Cup in Paris on Saturday,
The Springboks claimed their fourth Rugby World Cup win at the weekend, defeating New Zealand by one point, 12-11.
The president said he had made the decision "in celebration of the Springboks' momentous achievement" in a nationwide address Monday.
It will take place on 15 December.
Mr Ramaphosa said the government wanted the day to be a "a day of hope, a day of celebration and unity. Our sportsmen and women have shown us what is possible".
