Many years ago I ordered a T2 VW transporter (no windows) and built an interior like that. It had roof hatches which really were not visible from the ground, the idea being complete security. i could also park all day in loading bays in Germany. It was fun but not especially reliable despite being purchased new - engine fire, both halfshaft joints failed, an exhaust valve broke. I don't regret buying it and esp. not making the interior (another challenge which was a success), but it put me off VW for life.
