Not against the English in this match of course, but I think they may well have done even better than Samoa in that battle! This match was always going to be an impossible one for Scotland to win - Ireland are just at the top of their form.

Ronan O'Gara worked as a defence coach for the Canterbury Crusaders 2018 - 2019. I dare say he took some good tips home with him and La Rochelle have certainly benefited from him as head coach since.
