I have seen a lot of wordspeak in 'the meeja' about the new baggage limits on Ryanair, and being the sort of chap that I am, I took the trouble to look up Ryanair's web-page on the matter.
Now the questions.
Ryanair is well known for only flying B-737's, an a/c type that I have travelled on with many airlines, in many countries, many times. One thing that they all had in common was that they had overhead lockers. Are the B-737's that Ryanair purchased fitted with such?
On the web-page it states quite clearly that
This 'must fit under the seat in front of you' has been a standard for hand baggage for many years. Though not usually strictly enforced. All passengers are entitled to bring 1 small personal bag on board which must fit under the seat in front of you (40cm x 20cm x 25cm).
What it does NOT SAY, is that this 10kg bag MUST BE STORED under the seat in front of you.
Therefore I assume that one can store said 10kg bag in the overhead locker.
So what is all of the 'correspondence' in 'the meega' about?
