Ryanair taken to court by employees
Staff employed at Girona airport are taking Ryanair to court alleging they were told that if they did not accept Ryanair's Discontinuous Contract they would be dismissed out of hand. The Discontinuous Contract effectively states staff will be employed for nine months of the year and unemployed for three months of the year. Needless to say, the Discontinuous Contract is illegal under EU law. So is pressuring current employees to accept a new contract with threats of dismissal. Not that this has ever worried O'Leary in the past.

O'Leary will come out smelling of roses (not Roses!) He always does. He is smarter than the whole of the EU put together.
I despise his business practices and I wouldn't fly on his airline, but I respect his business acumen, his straightforward approach, and the success he has achieved.
That he has done it by walking roughshod over his customers and employees is another matter.
