Should be an interesting hearing as you say. Will it be televised?

These appearances by industrial miscreants before parliamentary committees are generally akin to "being savaged by a dead sheep" to channel my inner Dennis Healey. I suspect wily Willy will run rings around them.

It is enough to boil any honest man's piss! Shame on IAG, shame on BA!

Maybe it’s me, but has anyone seen how pilots are meant to keep two metres apart in a cockpit :ymdevil:

I understand that neither Wicked Willy nor his sidekick the FSW will attend :
BA refused to attend explaining that Willie Walsh, the Chief Executive of its parent, International Airlines Group (AIG), would be unavailable due to a board meeting. It was made clear that no other representative would be made available.

That was for the original meeting on Wednesday, he’s decided that at the moment he will attend on Monday 11th.

Good reason to bring back the A380? That must be close to achieving the required separation.

Didn't the Tornado?

An a/c that has a cockpit.

Airliners have Flight Decks.

Excellent, but, I fear, sadly wasted on the people you are dealing with.

It should be subtitled : How to wreck an airline and the lives of those who have given it loyal service, by Alex Cruz.

Woody, I hope it passes the message and it works and the staff reductions is avoided.

Simples!! Only have one pilot/crew member in the cockpit at any one time? Why didn’t they think of that before? :))

Gosh! My rankings were actually missed?
Due to the good weather I was trialling the new burka hem modification as the starboard hem sector mod solved the tangling on the chain and crank wheels difficulty.
However, after the incident where a Jack Russell terrier, on the loose, locked it’s teeth on the port side unmodified hem and was carried growling for some distance down the road as the owners chased me accusing me of dognapping whilst shouting racist remarks at me, I’ve had to get the port side hem reworked whilst maintaining appropriate modesty for my ankles.
I can’t risk any WEHFF getting inflamed with lust whilst I’m simply exercising within whatever distance from home the local Plod has in his notebook of the day?
Apart from that my counsellor says I should be more or less normal after all Covid-19 restrictions are completely lifted and we return to TOTAL normal, but she would not quote a date/year/decade.

Not sure I'd go THAT far :)) We are, however, 2 days behind on Lester's 10 minutes'.

Thanks for the detailed explanation of the cycling apparel problem. I feel better now.

That tear-jerker video from the Union is very good.

It makes one almost wish that we could bring the good old days back.

Y'know, when Norman Tebbit was a bolshie shop steward and the buggers endlessly went on destructive strikes.

As many people are saying, the future for airlines looks bleak. I think it very unlikely air travel will return to its previous business in any short order. It is questionable whether we should throw too much good money at any transport system which will have a significant reduction in demand.

The return of commonsense and air travel should be a good idea, but as our favourite airline boss M O’L said weeks ago, it’s not practical.
It’s all very well leaving the centre seat of three vacant to give everyone that warm wet feeling that it’s safe so to do, (not under current social distancing guidelines) but does anyone here know what is the current lo-co airline seat pitch?
I recall from the 60s and 70s it had got down to 32” but am unaware of the current spacing. As 32” isn’t anywhere near 78.74” for longitudinal separation, then they should be looking at every 3rd seat row only useable.
But I hear rumblings that the 2 metre figure was dreamt up in a hurry by the “eggspurts” and it has no scientific pedigree so watch this space for that space being reduced during lockdown relaxation?
Posted elsewhere, 1968-69 pandemic took 80,000 lives then, but we didn’t attempt to stop the rotation of the Earth so what’s with this pan(dem)ic?

I believe you are correct, and it was 'thought of' by the Institute of Sneezing in trials (bless you). I have no doubt it will, as you say, be shrunk when the financial need arises.

The 2 metre figure was probably plucked out of thin air by the same experts who plucked the 14 units of alcohol out of thin air.
