Surely the thing to do in Blackpool is build another of those tower thingies near the existing one, string a large elastic strap between the two, then they could catapult-launch aircraft with a winch

I love that tower. Fly north to south along the coast. Try not to bump into the tower. Turn left just after the tower, land and go and have breakfast here...

Do this often enough and die early but what a way to go! Either you hit the tower in IMC or land downwind and overrun or eat too many beans and get wind or simply expire due to a cholesterol induced heart attack.
