Must be something in the air round here ...
Bombardier (rail) also in Derby, have produced dozens of trains which won't work, and have been sitting in sidings for months. People are being very close-mouthed about this, but it seems that they can't write computer programs.
Seems standard in the British rail industry just now: people running round in small circles, screaming insults at their colleagues because their bit of the railway won't work - usually one bit not talking to another bit - and everything is opening late and over-budget. Bombardier are right there in most of that, altho' not the only ones by far.
Such a pity, because despite detractors in this wonderful community and elsewhere, rail travel is on the up, providing much needed revenue for the govt, and hasn't killed a passenger since Greyrigg, 12 years ago. When I wer a lad, we read of scores of accidents; sometimes hundreds of pax killed in any one year.
