How on earth do they navigate to the grid ref? It's not as though he has a spare hand for a map or to hold a GPS Navigator.

Interesting idea!
Imagine the utility of a mobile guy like this based in a SAR helicopter (with a blast proofed floor of course)? Great for first responders with evacuation completed by helicopter...
