Re: Virgin air-test new launch system
An interesting article and certainly aircraft launched rockets will be a very flexible orbital platform for launching commercial payloads into low earth orbits relatively cheaply.
One of Virgin's aerospace endeavours that will probably pay off unlike this one Virgin Galactic which was, initially, probably a tax write off scheme come state tax boondoggle and is likely to kill as many celebrities in the future as it makes astronauts, even though they have made some successful flights recently and have merged with another company and gone public.
I note that the Stratolauncher heavy lift aircraft flew for the first time this year.
Certainly an amazing looking aircraft that adheres to the wise old Captain's dictum that you can never have enough engines.
