The Voyager space craft.
I watched this documentary yesterday on Amazon Prime... The Farthest and found it to be a most poignant and interesting recollection of the Voyager 1/2 missions 4 outer planet flyby and interstellar mission by members of the original JPL team.
Both Voyager spacecraft have now paused the heliopause and are now flying in interstellar space on different trajectories.
Voyager 2 passes the heliopause
Serendipitously I have just heard on BBC Radio 4 that there will be an update this week on the Voyager 2 readings of the immediate radiation environment after the spacecraft had passed the heliopause. Both spacecraft are still in touch with earth although it now takes over 20 hours for signals from Voyager 1 to reach us.

Very good Gob and thanks for those.
Just hope both Voyagers aren’t used as target practice by some passing bloody Klingon cruisers.

Thank you GreenG. Mind boggling figures. Amazing how they are doing on such old technology. Brains far bigger than mine involved.

Good to see that folks find these things interesting. I highly recommend the documentary noted in the first post.
