Though you remain

Yes, sad - I was always attracted to HC.
It seems that she never married,

Astronomy story against me, but true!

I had to call on the Dept of Astronomy at UCL, in Hendon, N. London.
I'd had a bad time in the London traffic on a hot summers day and arrived at the building barely in time for the meeting.
I staggered, gasping, into their reception and asked for directions to the Dept of Astrology!

There was a joke about a blonde, inevitably, and I can't quite remember how it goes, but the punchline is that she is at some fancy dinner with academics and so on, and she asks a man what he does and he replies that he is the Astronomer Royal, and she asks him if he can do her horoscope.
