That all looks a little bit dodgy to me (although superbly filmed) but what do I know of these things? What happens if the line breaks and whips back at the helicopter? You can almost see the poor helicopter shuddering each time that block hits the ice and the rock wall.

Sill I like the idea of a heli battering ram or wrecking ball. I have the notion to use the same technique to demolish the millionaire chav's house, recenty erected up at the top of the road near my place!
