https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/2062069 ... aerodrome/A HELICOPTER crashed while attempting to land at Goodwood Aerodrome.
The Cabri G2 two-seat chopper crashed at the airfield near Chichester shortly before midday yesterday.
A spokeswoman for the aerodrome confirmed that the aircraft was involved in a "landing incident"
She said that the aerodrome's fire service dealt with the incident “swiftly” with a “well-rehearsed emergency plan”.
The helicopter had one occupant on board, who evacuated the aircraft without injury.
I would be interested to hear if the underpowered fenestron and the non linear force required on the right pedal was implicated in this accident. Rumour has it that the pilot was a low hours student so I guess that might have been a factor too.
Good to hear that the pilot walked away.
