Swiss Air Force crash in the Alps

Anyone found any more information? Any ideas as to the possible cause of the accident?

Condolences to the family of the pilot.

Looks like CFIT - trying to thread through the gap in the ridge.

Cumulo-granitus, I fear (aka CFIT) as Siseman says. Unless some other malfunction is identified, a classic '50ft short of the top' crash. Described as 'just after take-off' but I cannot quite see how that fits.

As you say, 4 minutes after take off, contact was lost.

With having so much lumpy countryside the Swis AF should be a candidate for this bit of kit!

Fit it to Malaysian Airlines a/c, they seem to be experts with 'Off' switches!
