If you haven't read his book I recommend it as probably the best account of the Battle of Britain and autobiography of someone who lived through it.
First Light, published by Penguin ISBN978-0-14-100814-1

Re: Geoffrey Wellum
I read 'First Light' many years ago and his experiences were remarkable for someone thrust into battle at such a young age. In a society where the word "hero" is now so vastly over-used, he truly was a hero in every sense of the word.
RIP Sir.

When all else fails, read the instructions.
Re: Geoffrey Wellum
He was mentioned in despatches on the BBC1 morning programme, at least on the news for the west and CI, as he lived in Par (Cornwall.)
