Knyaz Vladimir submarine

The Russian fired a Bulava ballistic missile from their new nuclear submarine last night...
Russia has successfully test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile from its latest nuclear-powered submarine, the country's defence ministry says.
Footage captured overnight shows the release of the so-called Bulava missile from an underwater position in the White Sea, the ministry said.
It was fired from Russia's new Prince Vladimir submarine and was reported to have travelled thousands of kilometres.

Bulava Missile
The missile has three stages; the first and second stages use solid fuel propellant, while the third stage uses a liquid fuel to allow high maneuverability during warhead separation. The missile can be launched from an inclined position, allowing a submarine to fire them while moving. It has a low flight trajectory, and due to this could be classified as a quasi-ballistic missile.[12] It possesses advance missile defense evasion capabilities making it resistant to any missile-defense systems.

The Russians are definitely sabre rattling at the moment...
Norway said it has discovered 10 submarines of the Russian northern fleet heading toward the Atlantic Ocean in the biggest such operation since the Cold War.

The deployment began just before Russia's foreign minister and the commander of the northern fleet visited Norway to commemorate 75th anniversary of the Soviet liberation of Kirkenes from the Nazis.

Meanwhile, the recently floated Prince Vladimir submarine test-fired a Bulava ballistic missile from the White Sea near Arkhangelsk across 10 time zones to the Kamchatka peninsula across from Alaska on Wednesday.

Eight nuclear and two diesel submarines left bases near Murmansk early last week, and stayed submerged as they entered the Norwegian Sea, Norway's military intelligence agency told state broadcaster NRK.

That number would represent almost the entire underwater contingent of the northern fleet.

Some of the submarines are aiming to pass through the Greenland-Iceland-UK gap and enter the north Atlantic, according to Oslo

That'll keep them busy at Kinloss over the weekend.

Oh,forgot, we don't have any MPA and Kinloss is no more.

Talk about a panty less (nicker less) virgin. These Russian folks are serious! What faith can we have in the current state of the UK's defence?

Nil I would guess..
