In the churchyard at Newnham on Severn there is a memorial to The Ellis twins. https://www.warmemorialsonline.org.uk/memorial/160439/
Plt Off Baxter Ellis was killed when a Harvard hit the Airspeed Oxford he was in whilst the Harvard was taking off. His brother, Lt Cdr Peter Ellis was killed in a night landing on HMS Implacable whilst flying a Firefly.
Lt Cdr Ellis had a DSC and bar and a DFC, but I have not been able to find the citations for those awards.
A sad memorial.
