Potential sale of aircraft for dismantling to harvest reusable parts.
The aircraft available are as follows:

5 x Sentinel Aircraft & a significant number of associated inventory spares and Ground Support Equipment.
2 x Sentry aircraft and associated inventory spares
The aircraft’s may be held at different UK locations including Waddington and it is anticipated that all work will be required to be undertaken at site.

I think Ex-A should have a look at one.
They met his requirement for minimum of 4 donks and he told us the other day that they have access to a 10,000' strip.
Maybe get two, just to have a spare.

The Defence Equipment Sales Authority (DESA) is inviting expressions of interest from Companies interested in being considered for receiving an Invitation to Tender (ITT) in respect of the proposed sale of the aircraft for stripping so to harvest all reusable parts for potential resale, recycling or disposal and final dismantling and removal of the remaining platforms. Note these aircraft are not for reuse.

The complete shebang is not for sale - but could someone buy all the bits and re-assemble them to work as intended - or will they with-hold certain critical pieces?

Over 12,000' actually but the terminal can't cope with a big jet. Being extended but not confident it will still be be able to cope. Went in there the other day and still only four departure desks and two immigration arrival desks. It would take hours to get a large pax load.

Yes would certainly consider the Royal 747. Shame the British government will not buy it for our Royal family and the PM.

Ex-A you wouldn't let the UK VIP to fly on an aircraft without UK added value like the A330 would you? Much like the argument by the Americans to develop their own version of a SST as not to have the President fly on a European aircraft.

For one departure from Hong Kong the computer was broken so we had to be processed manually - took for ages.
