Just noticed some two pairs of helicopter/fixed wing fraternisations on Flightradar 24 going on around Shrewsbury and Much Wenlock. One helo ZM523 is having relations with fixed wing SYS574 - they are above one another with 500ft separation. Another pair doing the same are helo ZM505 and another fixed wing SYS - lost track of those two now.
Just noticed another pair doing the same, helo ZM504 and fixed wing SYS110 near Wrexham. It must be some planned exercise but I'm intrigued as to what is being achieved? The fixed wing speeds are incredibly low, sometimes 60 kts - maybe the helos are controlling drones?
