I'd still rather stop then land on a carrier, rather than land and then stop! Great video though.

I found the post landing maneuvering at the very edge of the carrier very stressful to watch! ;)))

I was surprised how leisurely that pattern was. Professionally 2/10 for having no fire protection for his arms!

He'd have a bit more of a tan than that if he had an oxy fire or similar. Flash burns are incredibly quick and deadly.

In my youth there was an old and bold fixed wing RN pilot who had a nylon cravat type thing partially fused into his neck.

......slap on the wrists for me then as well. T'was hot in Singapore though. Bare arms still a risk on a ground run, it wasn't a flight. I mean, it would be quite unacceptable to get airborne wearing tropical uniform white shoes!

I see the all the original videos have become unavailable as a link on another site. :(

Oh well. This is the one that set this thread off, lest there are those that wonder what this was all about. The sound has been improved.

I was amazed to see the Tiffy pilot flying without gloves in the last TV series. OK for the occasional nose-pick, but all the time?

Tiffy, not Cecil Tunt's girlfriend then! Cecil being the skilled helicopter pilot and vegan! :))

At some point one would make a decision that it was a greater risk to flight safety to be soaked in sweat and have it running down into ones eyes than to try and cool off a little, but we flew lower down where the air was hot on occasional warm summer days in the Southern North Sea and the S76 cockpit windows made it like a greenhouse inside.

I don't know what would happen to this guy when his heinous sleeve crime was discovered by the USN authorities, but I thought the point of the videos was to show how good his carrier landings were rather than to provoke a flight safety discussion. 'Crab' on TOP would appreciate that! ;)))
