Re: Breeding lions - good or bad?
Anyone come ever across the elusive Rainboe?
I thought it was impossible to get banned on Ops-Normal, not that I ever heard he had been.

Re: Re: Breeding lions - good or bad?
I'm not sure of the connection between the title and the text of this posting.
Breeding lions in captivity - probably bad, but there are arguments in favour under certain circumstances.
Talking of banning, what has happened to Ops-Normal's resident bile and crap-spouting Corbyn-admiring Guardian reader?

Well, that's not me although I wear coats of many colours.
There is no real connection other than my fumble fiddling digital disgustingness.
Rainboe banned himself years ago I fear, an acerbic but very knowledgable BA Captain who was pelted on the other side by proonoids, simply because he really didn't suffer fools. But that was long ago and I think his knowledge base would have been too deep for less than ops abnormal.

No one with that handle or even similar has ever graced these pages. And I should know.Tsetse Fly wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 1:00 pmAnyone come ever across the elusive Rainboe?

Thank you kind sir.
Re: Breeding lions - good or bad?
"Impossible" is probably not quite the correct term. "Damn-near impossible" is probably more accurate.Tsetse Fly wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 1:00 pmAnyone come ever across the elusive Rainboe?

Re: Re: Breeding lions - good or bad?
In keeping with the thread title, can I commend Scent of Fear by Tony Park. It features farming of Lions in captivity ultimately as Big Game targets for trophy hunters.
Re: Re: Breeding lions - good or bad?
The whole captive lions trade is utterly despicable. Fuelled by demand from the Far East (mainly China) and the greed and corruption of South Africa.
