Disappeared without trace
Recently we were worried about the absence of one of our members who was actually alive and well.
I made an enquiry about someone with whom I sparred over on TOP. My post was deleted but when I queried it Senior Pilot replied that he had been missing since 3_Dec. As he had been busy with the election it might be that but . . .
SP also told me that Pprune Towers has been off line for a month having suffered a stroke.
Perhaps a New Years resolution is to ensure our NoK, or a trusted friend, know which social media accounts we use and can sign us off in fine pitch.

Ditto, 40 A.4 pages of them ( just the Username/Passwords and memory prompts, like the name of Grandmothers first dog etc. and other security questions, that is. All too much this digital age. )

Dunno who’s who over there as I only go to TOP to read T Log now and then. Is PT of wanking wobbery fame perchance?SP also told me that Pprune Towers has been off line for a month having suffered a stroke.

Re: Disappeared without trace
Indeed he is. A man who is as bad as his word.
Re: Disappeared without trace
And a stroke you say.
[indifference] Oh well that’s...um...that’s good. [/indifference]

Re: Disappeared without trace
I wouldn't wish a stroke on anybody but do know that indifference was the feeling when I heard that a truly evil man of my acquaintance had been shot dead a couple of weeks back.
Talking of aviators who seem to have disappeared, does anybody know what happened to Chuks who used to post here and elsewhere as well?
He seems to have disappeared from the place known as TOP too. Hope he is Ok! Seemed like a good cove despite his acerbic sense of humour and intolerance of bad spelling or grammar.

I don't know that I would wish anybody dead, but there are obituaries that I read with some satisfaction.

Re: Disappeared without trace
I vividly remember hearing two family friends (NOT mine) people who have hurt me in practical terms and I felt a kind of being okish/ or even being glad with it. I feel llondel put it quite successfully.
Re: Disappeared without trace
Guys...no one’s wishing anything on anybody. Just to be clear I didn’t ‘wish’ a heart attack or stroke on WW, just that I’m very indifferent that he copped it. Whether it had’ve been terminal colon cancer or an ingrown toenail the indifference (aka apathy) would’ve been the same.
There’s a difference between being apathetic and being neutral in the emotional sense, not existentially.
WW directly gave me (and a mate of mine) a lot of sh!t years ago and he’s a total bloody arrogant bastard with a superior complex (and don’t forget which airline I’ve been regularly taking for some time now between BKK and N Thailand). Whether he lives dies or gets crippled is his business.

Re: Disappeared without trace
Indeed I had a boss, I know the cause of his death, I know not the manner of his going, but Slasher's last paragraph fitted to a T.
Another had CFIT and took 10 with him including two friends. Having had three tours with him I was thankful for being a thousand miles away from him. I felt sympathy for his wife and crew, but not him. Again, that last paragraph applied.

Correction...
WW used to fly for Daffy (Nok Air) didn't he?
WW used to parachute from the airfield WW was know by a lot of parachutists (and pilots) at an airfield where I now spend a lot of time at. He was known for his supercilious mien.

Chuks is fine, but he will not be coming back. He had a serious issues with some posts and management's refusal to sanction them.TheGreenGoblin wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 11:14 amI wouldn't wish a stroke on anybody but do know that indifference was the feeling when I heard that a truly evil man of my acquaintance had been shot dead a couple of weeks back.

4ma himself has gone deep and silent. I have put out a query to the Canals Trust, no reply, but a bit difficult looking for an anonymous person.4mastacker wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2019 5:55 pmAll my accounts plus the passwords are listed in our household docs folder.Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2019 9:27 am....................

Re: Disappeared without trace
I would have Chuks back any time in preference to Kak 'n Crap's with his cuttings from the Guardian, repetition of dogma, and snide puerile remarks punctuated by 'ahem ...... cough ....'
Chuk's postings were often wittily dry, original and informative.
Both had an obnoxious streak and although they would go below the belt, would get very upset if anyone did the same to them.
