What has become of Pontius Navigator? Not seen around here recently. Has he become slightly uncertain of his position?

What has happened to Undried Plum last seen wandering around this parish on or about the 14th of September? He never struck me as a fragile soul so one can only suspect he is on a mission deep behind bandit lines, or more likely, working his arse off, doing something exotic in an exotic location. Whatever the case I hope he hurries up and gets back here soon. His inimitable style and skill as a raconteur is much missed by me at least!

Don't work too hard. Life may not all be beer and skittles but one deserves some R and R... :)

Thinking of 4mastacker, he has been absent on parade since 2nd June. As he is just up the road I fear his absence. I hope he has not fallen in his canal.

Not a task that I would wish on anyone. Friend of my daughter's recently widowed in especially distressing circumstances. Funeral Friday. Daughter hopes to pick up the phone and laptop as they are both password protected and the widow doesn't know the passwords. One of my nieces is a phone whiz and her husband is a computer magician.

Had the some problem after my son was killed in a tragic accident. He kept a lot of stuff on his ipad and it wasn't one of those you could open with a fingerprint. Apparently no-one can get into them, so his missus and I had to work out what was on it by process of elimination. It took about a year,

That's a lesson for all of us - make sure someone has access to your important passwords, leave them in a sealed envelope in a secure place. It's something I've recommended in places I work, too, have the master passwords in a sealed envelope signed on the back by whoever is in charge of the passwords stored in the safe or somewhere secure. If it's necessary to gain access then it can be done, and then they can be changed and the new set sealed in again.

I was systems manager of a simple system. A person departed but his post was gapped. The next person in asked me to reset the password. I could do it but decided to see if I could crack it.
I went into his office. Several aircraft posters on the wall above the computer. My second attempt and I was in - backfire.
Regarding my daughter's friend. I am told it is 6 characters. That fits dob but not service number, unless of course the 6 * is only representative and not the specific number.
My phone demands 5, bank 6, increasingly some allow biometrics.
