time flys

#1 Post by om15 » Sat Dec 09, 2017 9:33 pm

I enjoyed the 2003 air show at Coventry, we visited on the Sunday, sadly there was an accident on the Saturday with a fatality, but the show went on, DC6s, DC3, Electras and Sally B, plus loads of 1950s British aircraft, Prentice or Proctors giving pleasure flights.
EASA has finished off these shows, no more pleasure flights in Daks and old piston aircraft, all displays at least two miles from the crowds.

Found this old clip, seems like yesterday, but is actually an age away.

Shame isn't it om , we used to go to the show at Kemble Cotswold airfield but it's off the calendar now, the Shoreham disaster put the lid on things I think.
it's good to be bad.
