Nostalgia!....Fliegs' congratulatory post Solo piccy!! :)

Actually the solo flight was over at South Stradbroke Island...this photo was taken after returning to 'Home Base' "Albatross Field"...Coomera. It would be some time before I soloed here, lots of hills, big trees to make windy days 'interesting' to say the least, noise avoidance of nearby residences it all added up to some real fun....but it took some time to be 'checked out' on this 'clay pan'.
The entire area is a housing estate now....
The Gentleman on the right (who sent me off in record time for the school!) was the CFI, ex Checky with Ansett on DC-9s & 727s...
....good times indeed!
AND I was thinner then... lol
