It's a LOOONG time ago now.....but I used to fly with a guy who was (if I remember correctly) a company demonstrator pilot for Jabiru (If it is the same A/C, looks it, same name built in Bundaberg Aus.) During his time he told me he had 5 or 7 'Outlandings' in a machine that was factory maintained!!!!. (It's their own engine too!) ...

Now I can of course not verify this, I haven't seen ***** in years now....and it is only what I have heard...but certainly a great many Jabiru seem to have suffered engine failure from what I have seen in the 'Crash comics'.....that said survivability seems to be rather fantastic......but as always so very many variables involved.

I have not followed it for quite a few years, and maybe all the operating engine failures are overcome. I beleive it is a rather lovely Aircraft to fly, and as I say, forced landing survivability seems to be very good.
