Flying tonight
My local aviation establishment, also a well international training establishment, looks like it will be opening up next month so a I have booked in for a check flight and booked an aircraft for what used to be an annual peregrination to Scotland and the islands (missed last two years due to family bereavement and tax issues). If there are any pilots, flying enthusiasts or just those who want to pelt me with rotten tomatoes, that fancy meeting up in that neck of the woods late next month, let me known and we can co-ordinate a plan.
The helicopter training is still stalled as the training organisation is resolutely shut pending further info from the government as I learned yesterday after contacting the owner of the establishment.

Re: Flying tonight
Chaos reigns! Now told that the government have rejected the plan to open flight training organisations but driving instructors have been granted dispensation to go back to work after the 4th of July!
Government making this nonsense up on the fly or rather the no fly!

I have been flying the past few months, in many types: Bell 212, Bell 205, Huey, Bell 407, (just yesterday), Bell 206L4's, Bell 206B3 and finally Astar. I head to SoCal Tuesday to fly Astar on Lidar patrols.
This was yesterday giving one of my pilots his annual check in the 407--this is Shasta Bally at just over 6'000 feet, about 15 miles from our base.
And I get to go sailing in the lake in the right side of the pic in about an hour......so life is good.
Life may not be the party you hoped for, but while you're here, you may as well dance.

Too many tall things sticking up vying for the chance to snag a blade for my liking.

G~Man you seem to have wisely spread your business model to cover many diverse industry types, all the better to buffer you and your team in times of adversity. All power to your elbow and happiness to you and yours in your enterprise .
The fact that you live in such a good environment for enjoying hobbies, business interests and so on should come as no surprise to me as I know you are a Dudeist!
And as we know "the Dude abides"...

Wee land right there just to the right of the green power box with the tail sticking out over the edge. Tis a lot easier in winter when there is 6 feet of snowpack up there.....
