Don't Cough or Sneeze!
Re: Don't Cough or Sneeze!
Any idea of which tunnel that is?

Thanks.
Interesting factors relating to the tunnels that had to be accounted for.
I wonder if the cockpit had to be modified to account for the size of his balls.

I made a suggestion for under ground runways wge5i did the weapons course 47 years ago. Crosswinds might have been an issue for landing and made for interesting departures but it would have made a much smaller target.

That's a cracker!wge5i
Re: Don't Cough or Sneeze!
pp - I think you would need something like an AEW Gannet for that!
Re: Don't Cough or Sneeze!
Thatsa betta now. Well done Dario but I can't see this being a regular attraction.

Re the AEW3 a long time ago at Lossie airday such an a/c did a low pass that ground the bottom off the radome and came to a rather ignominious halt. Airshows were a lot more exciting then. Again at Lossie a certain Italian, Capt Bandini, did his low pass abot 20' out from the crowd line and about 10' off the ground - INVERTED!, people were reaching out as he went past. The "Witch of Moray" slung below a Wessex playing the piano Winifred Atwell style trawled the crowd line then spiralled slowly up to about 3000' and cut the wire with a fantastic sound effect on the PA of a piano hitting the ground from a great height (cf from the Goon Show the sound effect of a grand piano being driven up the Great North road c/w gear changes).

Re: Don't Cough or Sneeze!
We had a Belgian pilot on a ground tour display the F104 at our airshow about 19660 at Cottesmore. He did level rolls at 20 feet and rollers at 50 feet.
He would touch down, get airborne, roll, touch down and get airborne again. It was amusing watching the brains trust rushing to the tower. Quite right too with 3 nuclear armed bombers not far from the runway and embarrassing if he'd blacked the runway.
The BAF pilot 'could not understand the instructions' and carried on regardless.

On Exercise Sunspot at Luqa, 1959m I witnessed a Shackle bomber land with the radome extended.Rossian wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 12:31 pmRe the AEW3 a long time ago at Lossie airday such an a/c did a low pass that ground the bottom off the radome and came to a rather ignominious halt. Never let it be said that the Navy can't take a joke against itself.
I don't know if the chap doing the full power check sneezed or coughed but it must have been a bit of a surprise for anyone relaxing working in the squadron offices. The force of the crash seems to have started to deploy the airbrake unless he thought it might help.
Nice whitewash job but, tut tut, looks like an asbestos roof. Luckily the stuff didn't hurt us back in those days, just like smoking, which was almost obligatory.
