DIY SeaRey
My friend's husband is building his own SeaRey in their garage in Mckay, NZ. I thought y'all might like to see how his project has come on. He started it in September 13.
**Warning to Sisemen** - It is a plethora of photographs so look no further.

I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.

He's done it all himself. It certainly is a Wow! What patience! They intend to fly around the Whitsunday Islands when it is finished after testing/assessments etc. I'll keep you updated as to his progress. I obviously did not post up all their photos of his project. There are 113 of them to date. Fantastic!

Re: DIY SeaRey
Great looking build and a very interesting mix of composite and metal in its construction, he should be proud.
Wouldnt mind seeing a pic that shows how they designed the airbox support/s, the only 912S installations Ive seen before with an airbox fit have been Tractor setups and it's a bit that needs to be carefully considered on the 'S' engine installs
Regards to the builder

I have messaged them about your query. They have been testing the avionics. I can't upload that vid from Instagram.
Correction from my first post - they live in Mackay, Oz, not NZ.

Dirk
My friend has responded to your query: 'Kev is very willing and keen to chat to you. Could you inbox us his email address and Kevin will send photos and discuss. In a nutshell.... there are springs that hold the airbox and carburetors onto the motor as per the exhaust.'
