Model aircraft MOR system

Just had an email from the British Model Flying Association. UK model aircraft operators are now bound by the Mandatory Occurrence Reporting (MOR) scheme just as full size aircraft operators. In addition to the usual requirements a reportable occurrence happens if a flight goes beyond the visual line of sight of the remote pilot
It's those wretched irresponsible drone pilots who invaded LGW and LHR airspace a while back who have prompted this regulation for all model aircraft fliers. I thought I'd got the CAA off my back when I retired but they now take me for a £9 annual fee for my registration as an operator - at least it's cheaper than an ATPL issue!Under the Article 16 authorisation that BMFA members can operate under it is a legal requirement to report certain occurrences to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB), some occurrences will also need reporting to the BMFA insurers.
