Great aeronautical engineers...
To my shame I had not heard of Alexander Kartveli (Aleksandre Kartvelishvili) until this week. Reading it about him it is clear that he should be up there in the pantheon of great aeronautical engineers alongside people like Kelly Johnson et al.
Alexander Kartveli
What an extraordinary man.

Indeed - behind many of the iconic aircraft. Interesting 'demise'.

One would wish him a heart attack on top of Brit Eckland kind of exit. She almost did for Peter Sellers but not quite!

Preferably BELOW Britt Eklund as the resultant untangling would be stressful and unfair to the poor lass?
But hopefully not before both had experienced ‘la petite mort’ ? !

A great Guy, Kartavelli.
But remember, half the 105 fleet are still in Vietnam....that's 350 jets.
I'm reading 'Not much of an engineer' by Mr. Hooker.....
A decent read and very much reminds me of how much change a single, talented guy can do.

Thoroughly enjoyed Not much of an Engineer... Sir Stanley was an engineering genius.
