Border Controls or not!

I know they're desperate to get people into Manchester , but this worrying

I don't think it's fair to check people's passports when they enter a country. It's an infringement of their human rights and civil liberties. I mean who do these Border Force people think they are, that they can just ask people for passports and proof of the right to enter the country? Really, I sometimes wonder what the world is coming to.

They can bring in Class A drugs as well, unless they're wrapped in sausages :-o

I have crossed the Spanish/French border i.e. back and forth at La Jonquera several times in the past two weeks, at various times of the day. There's not been a single officer checking cars or pedestrians on either side of the border at any time. To restate: the border is completely uncontrolled for individuals, cars, bikes, buses, trucks......
