I think this stinks to high heaven .........

The daughter of friends of mine was booked to travel recently on a JetAirFly (TB) from Cancun to Brussels. She died very tragically in Mexico, she was 24 years old. Her family went over and were by her bedside in hospital for a couple of weeks until she passed away. As you can imagine, apart from the trauma and grief, this incurred considerable expense for all of them.

In the course of tidying up the administrative side, they applied for a refund of her unused air ticket (about €350). Most airfares, even when non-refundable, have an exception clause in the fare rule that the penalty is waived in the case of death of the passenger or immediate family. JetAirFly, even on their higher yield fares, don't.

They have been given a refund of the €44 airport tax, minus an 'admin fee' of €35, giving a refund of €9. Not even a note of sympathy, nothing. I think this stinks.

Bastards. No other word for them.
The older I get, the grumpier I get.
I may soon have to start biting people. X(
