Seems those trays that you put your coats, bags, belts, shoes, phones and the like into for x-ray examination are filthy.

Can't say that I'm surprised by the researchers findings, any place that has a concentration of people passing through is a germ magnet. And it includes hospitals too.
I always wonder how many germs are lurking on the floor when ordered to take my shoes off, goodness knows what some people have stepped in ....like dog poop on a pavement recently.
And then you've got all those germs on the aeroplane; you just don't know when the tray was last cleaned and how many babies have been changed on it since. Then the next worry is where did the nappy go.
And I never go to the toilet in bare feet. The list is endless, perhaps next time I fly I'll wear a protective suit!

Even without the trays, going past some security staff makes me ill anyway.
