I bought a Japanese electric shaver for about £150 ( marked down from £290), the best one they sold at the time. It gives a very good shave and i replace the cutters every two or three years which i buy in Oz because they are half the price of the UK. When i bought it i was paying about £20 per month for razor blades and have recovered my costs many times over since then..
Biggest hurt to my pride was about five years ago when i was paying the young sixteen year old at the supermarket. She put my change in my hand folded it around it and said " here you are love, put it in your pocket before you lose it"!! I managed to leave without throwing a wobbler,Mrs 1DC reckons it was the funniest sight she had ever seen when she looked at my face..

Just been told by SWMBO that now the Festival de Trobadors is over, beard must be trimmed. Not off, just made 'nice'. Pity, I was aiming for an Aaron Kaufman...

With the current price of razor blades, shaving is becoming a luxury.
Just keep using them a bit longer.

1DC, everybody has a moment when he is considered older than his real age. And to remain within the thread. I have yet to find an electric razor to be as effective as the standard (non-electric/manual) to give a totally shaven face. I have plenty of blades left to make a change, but your info is worth considered.

The money saved on not buying razor blades these past 35 years or so has been wisely spent on red and white fermented liquids.

French use lowest amount of water per person per annum in the whole EU so soap not necessary.
