Re: C2 H5 OH
Coke is undrinkable and positively bad for one as are pretty much all soda pops, too much sugar at best and full of aspartameand worse, at worst. Let's face it, beer is a great social drink (he says ruefully).
No alcohol beers such as Nanny State or even lager like abberations like Beck's Blue offer some hope.

I've found the best of the 0% alcohol beers to be Warsteiner, which is not easily found, followed by Becks Blue. As for the rest, I'd rather drink water.
Re: C2 H5 OH
With all due respect, Cape, I'd disagree (on Warsteiner). Haven't had Becks, though.

Aldi's own brand is drinkable, so is Beck's Blue. Some is aweful, if I am offered San Miguel 0,0 I opt for water.

Probes, Baltica ? Thanks, coincidentally our local S/market has just started to stock it, and had a demo. price available last week. Not bad, but a but sweet to my taste.

Water or proper tea (not so easy to get in the US where it's mostly Lipton's) is what I tend to drink. Tea without milk, too.

Try Bavaria, for a non-alcoholic beer it is streets ahead of most and does not have the odd (and not too pleasant) aftertaste of Becks Blue. Never seen Baltica in UK.

Weissbier. Tastes great, is satisfying, and good for kidneys and bladder.

Re: C2 H5 OH
Most alcohol free beers are quite good as long as they are ice cold. Once they warm up they get a sweet after taste which renders me rather un-tasty.
Re: C2 H5 OH
Possibly - but it does not have that 'aftertaste' or perfume... or whatever, that most others do. I'll try to find others mentioned above. Actually I also like very IPA beers, must be an abnormality. No Weissbeer, though, somehow.ExSp33db1rd wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 1:35 amProbes, Baltica ? Not bad, but a but sweet to my taste.
Of the yes-alcohol ones I like the märzen-type (red or reddish). Pink Paulaner, for one. Latvian Mežpils (dark) is extra good - even though slightly sweet and a bit too strong for 'just drinking' (http://mezpilsalus.lv/en/beer/)
